"Give up defining yourself - to yourself or to others. You won't die. You will come to life. And don't be concerned with how others define you. When they define you, they are limiting themselves, so it's their problem. Whenever you interact with people, don't be there primarily as a function or a role, but as the field of conscious Presence. You can only lose something that you have, but you cannot lose something that you are."
by Eckhart Tolle
"Being spiritual has nothing to do with what you believe and everything to do with your state of consciousness."

"I gave a beggar from my little store
from my well earned gold.
He spent the shining ore
and came again, again and again

the man supreme divine.
He glows, enriched with blessings
as never yet before
and now he begs
for earthly things no more."
"A merry heart doeth good like a medicine:

"Life is Like a Cup of Coffee. Various different cups on the table. All the nice ones taken up. All the plain and cheap ones left. Everyone eyeing each other's cup up to see who has the best one. Life is the coffee, the jobs and money. The positions in Society are the cups. They are just the tools to hold and contain life. And the type of cup we have doesn't define nor change the quality of life we live. Sometimes by concentrating only on the cup we fail to enjoy the coffee. Savour the coffee, not the cup! The happiest people don't have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything. Live Simply, Speak Kindly, Care deeply, Love generously." Unknown

"You are cut off from Being as long as your mind takes up all your attention. When this happens - and it happens continuously for most people - you are not in your body. The mind absorbs all your consciousness and transforms it into mind stuff. You cannot stop thinking. Compulsive thinking has become a collective disease. Your whole sense of who you are is then derived from mind activity. Your identity, as it is no longer rooted in Being, becomes a vulnerable and ever-needy mental construct, which creates fear as the predominant underlying emotion. The one thing that truly matters is then missing from your life: awareness of your deeper self your invisible indestructible reality. To become conscious of Being you need to reclaim consciousness from the mind. This is one of the most essential tasks on your spiritual journey. It will free vast amounts of consciousness that previously had been trapped in useless and compulsive thinking. A very effective way of doing this is simply to take the focus of your attention away from thinking and direct it into your body, where Being can be felt in the first instance as the invisible energy field that gives life to what you perceive as the physical body. by Eckhart Tolle
"The more you try to understand enlightenment,
the more it will elude you. And that is because enlightenment
does not come from the mind. It comes from 'No-Mind'.
It comes from just Being. You are already enlightened.
You just have to realize it to allow it into your experience"
by Anita Moorjani
"Thinking has become a disease. Disease happens when things get out of balance. For example, there is nothing wrong with cells dividing and multiplying in the body, but when this process continuous in disregard of the total organism, cells proliferate and we have disease. The mind is a superb instrument if used rightly. Used wrongly, however, it becomes destructive. To put it more accurately, it is not so much that you use your mind wrongly - you usually don't use it at all. It uses you. This is disease. You believe that you are your mind. This is the delusion. The instrument has taken you over. by Eckhart Tolle

"What is the Dow? the Dow that can be understood is not the eternal cosmic Dow, just as an idea that can be expressed in words, is not the infinite idea and yet this inevitable Dow is the source of all spirit and matter expressing itself, it is the mother of all created things. Not to desire material things is to know the freedom of spirituality and to desire them is to suffer the limitations of matter. Yet these two things, matter and spirit so different in nature have the same origin. This unity is the mystery of mysteries and the gateway to spirituality." by Lao Tzu
